Mi Goreng (Stir-fried Noodles)

Ingredients
  • 1-2 medium onions

  • 3 cloves garlic

  • 1 small chicken breast

  • 2 small portions of fillet steak

  • 5 shallots

  • 2 eggs

  • 375g Trident Rice Vermicelli or Trident Singapore Noodles

  • 3 tablespoons margarine or oil

  • 125g prawns

  • 2 tablespoons Trident Stir-Fry Fish Sauce

  • 1½ cup chicken stock

  • 1 cup Trident Chinese Mixed Vegetables

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1¼ cup fried, crisp onion flakes

Instructions:
  • Slice onions thinly, chop garlic finely.

  • Cut chicken into small pieces and slice steak into thin strips.

  • Cut shallots into 2.5cm pieces. Use the 2 eggs to make thin omelettes.

  • Prepare noodles and set aside.

  • Stir-fry in a wok the onions and garlic in melted margarine or oil until brown.

  • Add steak, chicken pieces, prawns, Trident Stir-Fry Fish Sauce and stock; cook 10 minutes.

  • Add Trident Chinese Mixed Vegetables; cook until vegetables are tender.

  • Add noodles to mixture and mix thoroughly. Taste for seasoning. Arrange on platter, garnish with onion flakes and omelettes sliced into thin strips.
